The probable future

This took ages to read, not sure why as I used to adore Alice Hoffman and this book is just as charming as all of her books, bar the Illumination night, which forever has a place in my mind as something slightly above her usual.
I simply decided to surrender in realisation that Alice, just as Anita Shrieve, is no longer inspiring my soul and making me feel like I belong or understand when I read her books, an insight that does come with some tinge of sadness but which I will, hopefully, replace with better things, a process known as natural selection.
