My World

St. Giles in the field gig

Sunday, January 07, 2007

This was such a gem. Two greatly atmospheric bands graced with several instruments of interest, performing in the church, while we sat in the pews.
First one was called Clientele and apart from enjoying an odd unnecessary guitar indulgence, they were good.
Second, Sodastream were amazing, and fun too, each song came with a little story, which was great.

The sound was amazing, Deano and I sat in the balcony directly above the bands, and periodically played the game "who would you shag out of the toilet line". Toilet was only one and situated on the ground floor opposite our balcony row, and there was always a good choice of people queuing.
The music was sublime and really gentle, it totally made my day. D and I agreed that bar Latitude, this was the best gig we ever saw.
