The life of others
Tuesday, May 01, 2007
It has been a while since I saw a film this beautiful and done with such care and mesmerising cast.

The story is very complex and sad and set against Eastern Germany's communist regime and it blends love, art and free speech as well as just human interactions.
The ending is sad and sweet at the same time and it made me think how we all tend to deal with others on a non personal level until life forces you to accept someone just as they are and you start to understand their story a little better.
And this film made me feel that. It was a splendidly deep piece of work.
