My World

Languishing on the sofa...

Monday, September 25, 2006
is now my favourite passtime...
Having been wrangled by stress over my exam time, I have been going to bed like a hen, at 10pm, only to have nightmares, palpitations and worry all night long. But cancelling all my plans for Sundays, currently my only day off with study schedule, seems to work like a charm. I slept till 12.30, then languished on the sofa for the rest of the day with Sanja watching movies, one after another...bliss.

Among the titles were Everything is Illuminated, yet again, Smoke and Two days in the Valley, one of those stupid movies that just hits the right spot. Funny but not in clever ways that are cool, still, managing to make you histerical at times, each character polished to perfection, James Spider a baddie, mean baddie...neurotic, cruel city banker that barks at everyone, detectives that are stupid at first sight yet not so...
This came after last weekend, which pretty much was the same as this one, I got out of watching Volver at the cinema with friends to sleep, and it is really not like me but I like it, I like this new me.

We, The Tiger cub (Sanja) and I, watched High heels and low lives, a film that I accidentally brought home, which reeked of cheap British drama yet gave us thrills that we kept on rewinding over and over. Over!
So, two unlikely films that are nothing special but you love none the less.
